I’m Back!

im back

I was so happy to get the call to fill in for the boys on this years tour. Having gone on tour the previous two years I was missing it for sure. So for two weeks I filled in first for Adam & then for Ellis. Traveled through 4 states and did 4 events before returning home to Idaho.

Good Shepherd

GOOD SHEPHERD MEDICAL CLINIC

I met up with the truck in Longview, TX and jumped right back in with an event at Good Shepherd Medical Clinic the next morning. While Spuddy Buddy was visiting the kiddos in the pediatric ward the cafeteria was serving a baked potato bar. The power of facebook and a visible parking spot brought large crowds of folks stopping to gawk and touch the potato.

Galveston TX
GALVESTON, TX
I can’t complain about celebrating the 4th of July on the beach! This little island town population goes from 50,000-200,000 for the weekend. This is the only parade that I’ve been with the potato that we could throw candy which was a huge bonus. Our over excitement resulted in poorly distributed treats and we ran out about 3/4 of the way through. We have to give a big shout out to Constable Clint who helped us navigate & park throughout the weekend.

EHY
EH+Y, SANTA BARBARA, CA
Santa Barbara greeted us with perfect weather for an outside private party at our advertising firm Evans Hardy & Young. It was so nice to meet all the behind the scene folks that are responsible for our commercials & let them see the potato truck first hand. Many of them have worked on this campaign for 4 years and haven’t had the opportunity to see it in person. They threw a great party with an awesome band & food truck. It’s events like this that make you feel a bit guilty collecting a paycheck.

Fork in the Road
FORK IN THE ROAD, PASADENA, CA
Well we knew this was going to be a fun one when our host Bob requested we pick up some potatoes for the jugglers! It just got better from there, the crowd was serenaded by three very different musicians who had all come up with original Idaho Potato songs! To top it all off we were able to raise $500 for the no kill cat shelter, Life Line for Pets.
