Jena (AKA Spudshine) is thrilled to be hitting the road on her second Big Idaho Potato Tour! With her upbeat energy and adventurous spirit, she’s excited to bring plenty of positivity to the 2026 season. When she’s not on tour, you’ll find her hiking trails or discovering new camping spots in Idaho. We dare you not to smile when you meet her!
Cloy (AKA Curly Fry) is excited to be joining the team on the road with the Big Idaho Potato Tour! With a passion for travel, adventure, meeting new people, and enjoying Idaho’s incredible outdoors, he’s looking forward to representing Idaho and making memories across the country. Whether he’s exploring a new city, hitting the slopes for some snowboarding, or taking in the beauty of Idaho’s mountains, rivers, and open spaces, Cloy is always up for the next adventure.
Monty (AKA Tater Titan) is our driver for the 2026 tour. This is his second year with us and the realization of a childhood dream. Monty brings over 40 years of experience and a variety of talents to the team. In his off time, he enjoys snowmobiling motorcycle riding and side-by-side trips. Always ready with a smile and a kind word, be sure to honk and wave when you see him.
In 2018, Ron (Tater Toter) retired from a 30+ year career of being an award-winning CDL driver. Then we hired him the next day! (So much for retirement) He enjoys filling-in when needed. You can see his smile and cowboy hat a mile away! He enjoys spreading the “magic of the Idaho® potato” when he can and now he has a sidekick, Mrs. Tater Toter, who joins him on the truck from time-to-time.
Fun fact: They met on the Tour and got married in 2020!
Retired in 2017 after 38 years of driving pulling doubles and triples. Nearly 4 million miles on the road. Ron (Tater Toter) Coles got me involved with LAURA and the Big Idaho Potato truck. I have LOVED every mile and minute of it and the invaluable tater team that is a HUGE part of the truck’s operation! Super Spud was given to me as a nickname and I think it’s AWESOME!
In addition to spreading the good word about Idaho® Potatoes, The Tater Team are on the road to create fun and memories all over the country!
The Big Idaho Potato Truck Tour has always had a charitable component to it. When the truck was still just an idea, albeit a big idea, the leadership at the Idaho Potato Commission (IPC) wanted to make sure the Truck made an impact on the people who lived in the markets it visited. The Truck’s mission, “A Big Helping” is a meaningful and personal way for us to help. During its 6-month tour, the Truck will identify charities in many of the markets it visits and offer “A Big Helping” based on the organization’s specific needs. The IPC will work with the selected charity to create an event to help raise awareness, funds, food or all three for the non-profit.
Be sure to follow the Truck on its social media channels to see how the Truck is serving up “A Big Helping” across the country.
A huge thanks to Chris and Sharolyn at Schofield Design for their masterful work in creating our super spud. Thank you to Kenworth Sales Company/PacLease for providing the “go” and Western Trailers the “tow” for our traveling show.
Foerstel + Piper + Martin imagined this was possible, then brought the design to life, and EvansHardy + Young helped us find our way.
