The Big Idaho Potato got to spend almost a whole week here in Clarksville Tennessee.  We were in Clarksville for the Rivers and Spires festival. It was set in the Down Town area, with roads blocked off which were filled with food, fun, and music. There were events ranging from a Ten Thousand dollar scavenger hunt, to a foam party,(yes foam as in bubbles.) The festival was laid out with areas which were dedicated to the kids as well. The Big Idaho Potato Truck got to make two appearances there. Our first was on Thursday by the main stage and the rest of the time we were down in the Kids Zone. We had the best seat in the house too, for the kids parade. Clarksville is a neat place to visit, but when you throw in the Rivers and Spires Festival, neat turns right into Awesome.

On Friday, Adam was invited to appear on the morning radio show with “Ryan and Gretchen in the Morning.” Ryan and Gretchen are local hosts, but their fans treat them like they have a national fame. It was fun to learn how many people listen to their morning show, by the many mentions of his appearance. Ryan and Gretchen are a fun duo and had made Adam sort of a local star. My favorite part of that new found fame came in the guise of his new nickname. For some time now I’ve been labeled with the nickname of “LarBear,” so it was a great pleasure to hear Adam get his new nickname, from some new fans. Adam, formally Spud Stud 1 is now called “Purdy.”

I’m sure he’s glad to be rid of that old generic moniker.

Ellis was gone for the week attending other walks of fame, but he’ll be back with us in a few days. We had a great time in Clarksville and we are very happy to have been invited out. The community is fun and friendly.

Thanks to everyone who helped out to make the 2016 Rivers and Spires festival such a blast. Thanks to all the volunteers, thanks to all of the promoters, and thanks to all of the guests.
