Guess who’s back, back again! Our #bigidahopotato is back, tell a friend! Finally, after over a year and a half, we are back out on the road touring the country! It’s been quite a year, and our spud is just what America needs to put smiles back on people’s faces once again!

We began our journey by visiting our Montana neighbors in Billings at Mooyah Burgers, Fries, & Shakes. We will be partnering with multiple Mooyah Burger locations on this mini-tour. We really want to give back to restaurants that were hit hard due to the pandemic! Not to mention, they have the best Idaho® potato hand-cut fries around. Check out bigidahopotato.com to see the other Mooyah locations we will be visiting.

After our trip to Montana, we made our way to Coeur d’Alene to show our fellow Idahoans some spud love! We had the honor of participating in the 4th of July parade in downtown CDA. We dressed up our #tater in red, white, and blue and drove along excited fans and beautiful lake CDA! It was one of my favorite parades we have ever done and felt like normal times once again.

After the fourth, we stayed in Northern Idaho and visited three grocery stores that sell Idaho® potatoes; Super 1 in Oldtown, Super 1 in Athol, and Yoke’s Fresh Market in Post Falls. Employees and shoppers rejoiced in getting to see the #bigidahopotato truck in Idaho! Since we are usually out of state, it is super special when we get to be in our Idahome.

After we made our rounds in Idaho, we headed to Washington to visit three more grocery stores in Spokane! We visited Super 1, Rosauers, and Yoke’s Fresh Market. Washingtonians couldn’t get enough of our giant tuber! We even made a pit-stop at Spiceology headquarters to meet the owner and employees.

It was on to Oregon afterward to a little town called Athena. It’s a town of 1100 people but is known as the home of Caledonian. Since 1899, the Athena Caledonian Games have been held in Athena to preserve Scottish heritage and traditions. We participated in a parade that went through the main street in town and the festival. It was fun getting to experience the culture, listening to the music, watching the games, and meeting all of the Athena residents!

The shenanigans aren’t over yet! We will be touring the rest of the nation for the next few weeks and then heading back to Idaho for August to do some local events, including the Braun Brother’s Reunion in Challis!

Until next time Spud Nation!
